Sometimes at this time of year finding the time for home made goods can be challenging. So I am sharing some of my quick and easy recipes. Mincemeat Tarts, These are very simple and easy to make and can really look special when dusted with Icing Sugar. All you need are frozen Tart Shells, a jar of mincemeat, ready made pie crust and icing sugar. Fill Tarts and bake at 350 degrees for 20 min. or until done.
This year I also stumbled by this new #Betty Crocker cookie mix.
I asked myself how I could dress this cookie up a bit so I added grated white chocolate and shredded coconut to the mix and followed the directions on the back of the package, all I can say is yum. These cookies are just so good and how simple, with just a half cup of white chocolate and half cup of coconut. To finish them off I drizzled some melted white chocolate. It added just the right touch to this easy cookie mix.
When I pulled the cookie mix off the shelf I also spotted a Spice Cake mix and decided I wanted to get creative with this too. To the Spice cake mix I added 15 oz. of pure pumpkin, 1/2 cup of applesauce, 3 eggs and 1/2tsp. cinnamon and 1/2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice. Mix all together and bake in an oblong 9″x13″ pan at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Add your favourite cream cheese icing and decorate with candied ginger. So good!!!!!!
