One of my sayings for this year is Heart Centre. I mean this saying in so many ways. It is not just something that you say during your yoga practice, it is something that can apply to many areas of your life.
Heart Centre for your soul and spirit…how do you fill yours? I am currently studying the names of God. I am using the book Praying the Names of God, by Ann Spangler. I am going through this book with a couple of other ladies and it is very inspirational and explains things in simple terms which I love.
Another thing I have been using to keep me present and aware are some wonderful Art Cards I purchased from Lezette Marham and Sheila Pai from AnArtfulBreath.com. These cards are not only beautiful, the questions and prompts really make me think.
Okay so that is Spirit love, what about your body? I am currently easing back into self care through practicing yoga (helps my spirit and mind too). I treated myself to becoming a member of the Sacred Sanga which is an on line yoga studio…but really it is so much more. Study guides, classes, book club, phone calls and a bunch of lovely ladies all on a similar path, you can check it out here: carriehensly.com. She is a wonderful and gifted yoga mentor, and I have learned so much so far this year.
Another thing I enjoy doing is walking in the mornings and hiking in the woods on the week ends. There is something about nature that is so healing and invigorating at the same time.
I believe being true to your heart in all its forms is the healthiest thing you can do for yourself and all the people whom you love in your life. Even in your business or whatever job title you may hold, take the time to nurture and love who you are, then you will be able to spread that love on out to others. I hope I have made you think or inspired you in some way with this post.
Happy Day Everyone,
