I dream of Paris.
One of the longest dreams I have had and yet has not been fulfilled is a trip to Paris, France. I have wanted to go to the city of lights for as long as I can remember. Way back when I was a model it was the place to be. Moving forward and when we were well into homeschooling it was one of the most visited places we went with our history studies, decorating and songs. My home is still inspired by a French flair of decorating and one of my favourite things to eat is an Almond Croissant.
There is a way to time travel and experience exotic places, times and events…Through the marvellous literature, books, movies and music. One book in particular that I have enjoyed is “Paris Times Eight”. It is a wonderful coming of age story about Deirdre Kelly (she is the author also). I have so enjoyed this book that I bought it twice without even realizing it.
It takes you through the authors many adventures from her first visit to the wonderful city to the latest visit up to publication. She is a Canadian women and shares honestly about life and the influence this city has had on her.If you are interest you can buy the book here. http://www.amazon.ca/Paris-Times-Eight-Finding-Myself/dp/1553652681/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1438187417&sr=8-1&keywords=Paris+times+eight
I have decided to get serious about my trip to France and I am working on ways to make the dream a reality come next May 2016. One of the things I am doing is selling my Avante long arm machine with accessories. I am looking at all options to raise the funds for this trip of a life time.Having said all this I will continue to watch my movies, read my books and listen to music while enjoying an Almond Croissant or two.
So if you are unable to get away this summer why not pick yourself up some Almond Croissants or how about some French Macaroons and delve in and escape with this wonderful book or treats and literature for your dream vacation.
